There are further marks/stains present on the flyleaf and title page, plus a small split on the page detailing other books by the author. All pages are made from high-quality paper and are lightly tanned – though remain largely free from foxing, with only a few spots appearing here and there. pp. 207-216 have minor dog-ears in their lower corners, whilst p. 49 has a small closed tear at its foot and some grubby marks. The binding is tight and sound.
