Description:
Delightfully illustrated book relating the adventures of two eggs – João and
Jaime – and their friends, whilst teaching the alphabet to young readers. The story has
been cleverly written so that each paragraph makes extensive use of each letter of the
Portuguese alphabet in turn; beginning with a, then b, &c. (accented letters are
excluded: ã is treated as though it were a regular a). Each letter is
highlighted where it appears in the word (e.g. "Esta é a historia
…)
Overall, the book is in very good condition. The pages are, bright, crisp, and clean. It is only the fep and rep which have some light marking (most probably the result of the print on the illustrated pastedowns having run). The boards would've been in excellent condition were it not for some light, localised scarring near the top of the rear board.
