Description:
"A relatively simple vocabulary, large clear type and superb colour illustrations
are used to give interesting and accurate information about the Fishing Industry,
and the men, boats, and equipment that bring us this very important food."
Wonderful, full-page colour illustrations on every other page. Pastedowns and endpapers feature a two-tone monochrome map depicting the North Atlantic fishing grounds and where each of the 11 types of fish (also illustrated) can be found. Also contains illustrations of four common types of fishing vessel. Apart from some rubbing along the top edge of the rear board, the pictorial matt boards are in very good condition. There is, of course, the usual bumped spine and corners to which matt board Ladybirds are particularly susceptible. Apart from some negligible marking with ballpoint pen on the rear pastedown, the book is as new internally. The pages are bright, crisp, and very tightly bound. c.1967 reprint. Measures 17.5 cm × 11.5 cm (7″ × 4.6″). 12mo. 51 pp. Price: £8.50 |
