In true Ladybird fashion, there are full-page colour illustrations on every other page.

Pages are overall in excellent condition: free from foxing or other markings – except for pages 32 and 34, where a word has been underlined lightly and there is a small mark, respectively. There is also a minor mark on the fep. The previous owner has neatly printed his name in blue ink on the front pastedown. The boards are clean and in good condition; the only real problems being some rubbing along the lower right corner and bumping to all corners and the spine.

It is assumed this copy dates from 1972, as the pastedown and fep listing the First Division League Champions and FA Cup Finalists, respectively, contain entries up 'til 1971.
