Description: Although branded as an 'abridged version', this little volume contains as many as 31 tales by the celebrated Hans Andersen. Apart from classics like The Emperor's New Clothes, The Little Mermaid, and The Snow Queen, this edition includes many tales that are rarely published, such as The Elfin Hillock, Holger Danske, Little Ida's Flowers, or The Old Street-Lamp, to name but a few.

No illustrations other than the excellent artwork on the cover.

Glazed pictorial boards. Spine and corners bumped – slight damage to former. Previous owner's name in black ballpoint on front pastedown. Pages have a vintage tan, and a handful have a few blots of foxing. Binding is sound.
