Title: Les Aventures de Tintin: L'étoile Mystérieuse
Remarks: French language
Book Condition: Very Good
Jacket Condition: N/A
Description: In the tenth instalment of the long-running adventure series, a giant meteorite threatens to destroy the Earth, but misses, leaving only a small fragment which has crashed into the Arctic Ocean. Financed by the Fond Européen de Recherches Scientifiques (F.E.R.S.), Tintin, Captain Haddock, and the eccentric astronomer Professor Hippolyte Calys embark on an international race to claim the meteorite.
Quick and Flupke (another of Hergé's creations) make a cameo appearance on p. 20. Also of note are some potentially blasphemous remarks which were revised in the English language edition.
Glazed pictorial boards are in very good overall condition for their age. Spine and upper corners are bumped. Apart from a negligible smudge to the foot of the first page, and some insignificant creasing to a few others, internally the book is effectively as new: snow white pages are bright, unmarked, and soundly bound.
Measures 30 cm × 22.5 cm (12″ × 9″). Large 4to. 62 pp.
