Description:
"Ronan Chantry took his prized Ferguson rifle and went west to die. He found himself a
civilized man in the rugged wilderness. He joined up with some rough trappers and travelled
on–until they met up with hostile Indians, a beautiful girl looking for a 200-year-old
treasure, and her treacherous uncle. They were all fighting for their lives. And then
Chantry found out how brave he really was…"
No illustrations other than the superb, uncredited effort on the cover. Covers are lightly worn along their extremities. The spine is worn along its length, and is somewhat skewed. Minor damp stain on edge of inside front cover has impressed itself onto the edge of the next 10 or so pages. A few faint stamps on the fep indicate the book was the property of the The Popular Book Centre in London at some point in its life, and a ballpoint-inscribed price of 25[p] is present in the upper-right corner. Otherwise, all other pages remain unmarked (though one or two have a few specks of foxing on their edges). There is, of course, the usual tanning found on a book of this vintage. Binding is tight. Measures 17.5 cm × 11 cm (7″ × 4.4″). 12mo. 180 pp. + biographical note about the author, and 3 pp. catalogue of other titles available from the publisher. Price: £4.50 |
