Sooty Annual: A Daily Mirror Book – Sooty Concessions Limited

Description: Rare annual featuring TV Town's famous ursine resident.
Consists of many picture stories, several puzzles and crosswords – the latter have been neatly completed in pencil – plus a number of 'board games' (the front pastedown and endpaper depict Sooty Tidies Up His Garden, whilst the rear have A Day in the Life of Sooty. Also contains a picture to colour in (untouched) and another in which the reader is invited to fill in the missing portions – only partially completed (and very lightly at that) in pencil.

Illustrated throughout in a mix of delightful full colour and alternating two-tone monochrome drawings. Incidentally, Sooty is not yellow in any of the colour illustrations, but a shade somewhere between white and light grey.

Glazed pictorial boards. Minor scar on front cover, plus some discolouration along the bottom (refer to image in both cases). Spine and corners lightly bumped. Neat and discreet gift inscription in blue ballpoint above title on title page. Unclipped – retains original price of 9′6 on fep. Pages are in excellent overall condition: unmarked (except where previously noted) and completely free from foxing – they even appear to have resisted tanning. Binding is sound.
