Description: In what has been dubbed "the best Christmas card of the decade", Helen Bradley depicts life in Lancashire throughout the whole year of 1908. The author describes her pictures as being "a love story of that gentle period". Whether the scenes, and their delightful commentary, depict a picnic, shopping trips, a holiday to Blackpool, Christmas Day, or even a suffragette meeting, they amount to a beguiling retrospective of Edwardian childhood.

Illustrated throughout with beautiful, half-page, colour reproductions of Bradley's paintings. Decorative initials.

Light purple boards with gilt text on front and spine. Textured jacket in good overall condition: light scuffing along the top, but otherwise complete and undamaged. Inside flaps are tanned and have a very light stain. Price-clipped. Pages are also in good overall condition, though all show signs of handling (some more so than others), and a couple have grubby marks. Fortunately, Bradley's stunning illustrations remain unaffected – except on the final page, where a light crease stretches across the page.

Measures 26.5 cm × 29.5 cm (10.6″ × 11.8″). Landscape 4to. 31 pp.
