The condition of the book itself is superb, considering is age. The pages are clean, very bright, and completely free from foxing and the binding is very tight. As can be seen in the picture, the dust jacket has a slight crease in the upper left corner, and a 0.5″ × 0.5″ (1.2 cm × 1.2 cm) tear to the right of the crease. The rear of the jacket has some rubbing along the lower edge, and a pronounced 1.5″ (3¾ cm) crease stemming from the centre edge. General rubbing to the top and bottom of the spine, plus a 1″ (2.5 cm) crease on the latter. There is also a very minimal (0.1″/3 mm tear to the top of the inner flap).
