Description: "Kay and her friends Wendy, Samson and Shanty live in a fishing village. They have great fun together, but often their pleasure is spoiled because Kay loses her temper. She quarrels most with Samson, because he tells her when she is wrong. They all go down the cliff to a little deserted cove which is to be specially theirs. In a cave, tied up safely against the tide, is a little blue boat. Kay wants to borrow it to play smugglers. Samson says it isn't theirs, and there is another quarrel. But soon Kay did row the boat, after all, and Samson was with her."
Illustrated with one glossy frontispiece, which repeats the scene on the cover.
Blue 'textured' boards with black text to spine. Negligible bumping to spine ends; corners are straight. Price-clipped pictorial jacket is worn and creased along its extremities (refer to image), but remains free from loss. Scant remains of a prize-plate on the ffep. Pages are printed on thick paper, and are in excellent, unmarked condition. Not a speck of foxing in sight, and they even appear to have resisted tanning. Binding is sound.
