Considering its age (and that of its previous owner when she first acquired it!), the book is in good condition. There is light foxing on most pages, whilst a handful show signs of handling, but are otherwise uncreased and free from any scribbles or other artistic contributions – although the former owner has neatly printed her name in pencil on the ffep. As can be appreciated in the image, the tipped-in illustration on the front cover has suffered some damage. There is also some damage to the rear board where someone had affixed something with paste (Victorian glue!) and then removed it at a later date (image available on request). The corners are bumped, and the lower-right is slightly chipped (refer to image). Other than that, the binding is sound, with all pages intact.
