Contains several plates with high-quality b&w photographs, plus a b&w hand-drawn map. Pastedowns and endpapers contain hand-drawn maps of the Levant, Middle East, and Balkans.

The jacket is unclipped (10s. 6d. net) and has been repaired with losses restored. The flaps are in very good condition. The pages, too, are in very good condition and are virtually devoid of foxing. An error at the printing house has resulted in two pages (196 and 197) not having been cut. Binding is tight.
