Excellent, colour illustrations throughout – several of which are full-page. Front pastedown and endpaper feature colour depictions of various key characters in the story, plus a portrait of Charles Dickens.

Matt pictorial boards are in superb condition. Spine lightly bumped (all too common on Ladybirds), but corners are perfectly straight. Internally, the book is as new: pages are crisp, clean, bright, and free from all manner of defect. Super-tight binding.

A wonderful example of a genuine first edition.
