"Soon after Alice in
Wonderland was published Lewis Carroll was already planning a sequel to be made up
from the many stories he told to Alice Liddell and her sisters during that famous picnic on
the Thames at Godstow, near Oxford. And just as 'Alice's' adventure stories enthralled the
children all those years ago—they still do today."
Illustrated throughout with Sir John Tenniel's original engravings. 'Glossy' pictorial covers are in very good overall condition, with only negligible wear to the extremities. A very nice copy of the rare Dolphin edition, which contains both the Easter Greeting letter and the seldom seen poem, Christmas Greetings From a Fairy Child.
