Description:
W Paryżu w kamieniczce oplecionej wszędzie
jak na wsi dzikim winem
mieszkało po sześć w rzędzie
dwanaście dziewczynek.
Thus begins this rare Polish edition of Bemelmans' famous book in which we are first introduced to his adorable little heroine, Madeline.
Illustrated throughout with Bemelmans' trademark full-page paintings in full colour and three-tone monochrome.
Pictorial covers are lightly creased and have some minor water damage on the leftmost edge of the rear cover. Internally, all pages are very lightly creased from handling, plus two or three have some minor water damage (the illustrations remain unaffected). Otherwise, all remain bright, unmarked, and tightly bound.
Measures 27.5 cm × 20 cm (11″ × 8″). Large 4to. Unpaginated.
Price: £7.50
