Sweet and humorous half-page colour illustrations throughout. Patterned pastedowns and endpapers depict a variety of woodland and domestic animals in colour.
Glazed pictorial boards are worn and rubbed (refer to image). Lower half of spine has partially come away, but can be repaired easily enough. Minor scribbling on rear cover (refer to additional image). All pages are lightly creased from handling, but incredibly all have resisted tanning and foxing! The previous owner has used adhesive tape that is almost as old as the book itself to reinforce the binding on the pastedowns – the illustrations remain unaffected.
