A very rare book covering an interesting mix of mammals, including shrews, moles, hedgehogs,
kangaroos, opossums, and bats.
Illustrated throughout with plates containing high-quality colour photographs, plus a number of b&w line drawings. Gilded lettering on front cover.
The book is generally in good condition. Pages are free from foxing (though the fep has developed a thin coating along its edge) and haven't been annotated or otherwise marked. Some pages have been creased, and others dog-eared, but these are few and far between. The spine is bumped and chipped and there is some rubbing along the bottom of the front board. There is also some light marking and a small 'scar' on the front board (see image). The corners are bumped and chipped.
